This is your first chance to mingle with the community and to give the amazing Mabon Market Vendors a warm welcome! Grab your campmates, take a leisurely stroll down our vendor row which has now taken on the name of “Mabon Market”, and plunder some goods! This will give you the greatest chance at securing the best baubles before anyone else has a chance to beat you to them. HeartSongs
4:00 PM – 5:00 PM @ Nymph’s Nest w/Boogie
HeartSongs is a facilitated vocal circle all about balancing the personal embodiment of the voice with awareness of communal voices through singing. Attendees will be guided through vocal embodiment practices to feel more aligned with their voice as well as engage in group toning, games, and vocal improv. Any participant who wishes to bring their voice in song and is willing and capable to listen to others is welcome. Somatic exercises to get embodied in your voice will be part of the process so if you’ve ever been told “you can’t sing” you are exactly who the container is for. A voice that feels good singing is one that will sound good singing. Every HeartSongs is the practice of a group of strangers coming together to become a choir.
Community Dinner: Hearth Gathering

As a main theme in harvest festivals, we invite you to come break bread in community spaces throughout the weekend. Every day from 5-6pm, you are welcome to sit, eat, and share each other’s company at the East Pavilion. Thursday’s picnic style Community Dinner is themed as “The Hearth”, in honor of opening day when we are all leaning into feeling that sense of coming home as we gather together for another Mabon. After a day of setting up camp, we encourage you to come take a break to sit with each other as you have your dinner.

Opening Ritual: Arachne & Minerva

We gather at opening ritual to share the story of Arachne, together we will braid a large rope around the circle, weaving our community into one. A chant or song will follow the story, lifting our voices as one. This collaborative act embodies Community Transformation and leaves everyone with a tangible keepsake to carry through the weekend.
Enchanted Mazers (Age 21+)

The Order of the Enchanted Mazers invites you to join in a bright and bustling celebration of the harvest and the hive! This is a space to gather and share our latest libations, feast on artisanal treats, and dive deep into the magic of ingredients and fermentation processes. To keep our community spirit thriving, everyone must bring something to the table; if you don’t have a mead ready to share, any fermented food or snack like crusty bread, sharp cheeses, or fresh fruit is a welcome addition to our spread. We are also thrilled to launch our Mabon Mead Vault—where makers contribute a bottle to be safely aged and brought back years in the future for a truly historic toast. Please remember to bring your own drinking vessel and plenty of water to stay hydrated as we revel together.

The Bardic Circle is a sacred space to playfully share and create connection with each other. This will be a more laid-back informal Bardic, so if you prefer a smaller more intimate audience, bring a song, a poem, a joke or a story to share around the fire on opening night! Nighthawk will teach some ritual songs around the fire tonight as well so if you want the extra practice, be here tonight! At the Threshold: An Equinox Pause
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM @ West Fire Pit w/Zagreus
This workshop combines a brief teaching, a guided meditation, and a simple group devotional practice. No prior experience needed. Come as you are, leave with a felt sense of the equinox pause and a personal practice for the coming Fall. Explore Cernunnos not as a distant deity but as a present guide for the introspective months ahead. We will begin with a brief teaching on his history and mythology, focusing on his role as lord of liminality and sacred balance. From there we will move into a guided meditation to meet him at the forest’s edge. The workshop closes with time for Q&A and discussion. Participants may share experiences and ask questions about continuing this practice at home.

Corn Husk Doll Making
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM @ East Pavilion w/Ashley
In this workshop you will learn how to make a corn husk doll using husks, yarn, and fabric. These dolls are an American classic and go back hundreds of years when native tribes, like the Iroquois, Oneida, and Cherokee, would make them. These first dolls were often left faceless to show humility. Later, settlers and little kids would use them as toys, as real dolls were often too expensive. Today they can be used in rituals to represent the corn maiden, or any goddess of the harvest!
Consent & Sacred Sexuality (Age 18+)

Consent and Sacred Sexuality invites participants into a playful and grounded exploration of how to engage the energy of Mabon with intention, respect, and joy. This workshop will open a candid conversation around creating a “sexy” festival experience that is also safe, sane, and fully consensual. Together, we’ll explore festival etiquette, boundaries, protection, and the role of nudity, all within the broader context of fertility traditions and sacred sexuality. Whether you’re curious, experienced, or simply seeking to deepen your understanding, this space offers a welcoming and affirming approach to connection and celebration.

Are you in recovery or looking for a space free from alcohol and intoxicants? Join us at the Cauldron of Clear Celebration. Pagans in Recovery is a 12-step fellowship based on the example pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. Meetings are being held at Mabon so participants can share their experience, strength, and hope to support each other in the festival atmosphere. We support community members who need grounding and support for mental health and sobriety.

Pagan Funk Orchestra (Session 1)
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM @ Nymph’s Nest w/Dru & Faellina
Funk music is built from the bass up then augmented one-by-one by other instruments such as keys, winds, strings, more bass, drums and other percussion instruments. Mix in vocals and swaying hips, and you have that fully funky feeling. In this workshop we’ll use the “funk” approach to creating Pagan grooves that get us moving around a fire. Bring your voice, drums and percussion instruments, strings, winds, and more. We’ll use simple, repetitive lyrics, musical hooks, and beats to help us drop into the pocket. Once the jam is solid, you’re free to choose your own groove: drive us forward with steady rhythms or break out into fills and solos. Our ultimate goal is to blend pitches and rhythms that complement each other to produce a communal soundscape. Let’s create some awesome grooves we can carry to the nightly fire circles!

New to Mystic Mabon or just looking to ground yourself in the energy of the weekend? This is a welcome gathering for all newcomers, created in a safe space, and helping to educate about the Sabbat and its meaning. A brief description of the sabbat along with simple circle etiquette is discussed, allowing newcomers to feel a sense of belonging. This is a space to ask questions, learn how the festival flows, and begin discovering your own personal mystery for the weekend. All are welcome.
Learning the Runes: History and Divination Techniques

Learning history, meaning, and divination techniques with the runes while crafting your own runes set to take home. Odin hung from Yggdrasil for 9 days and gave up his eye for the wisdom of the runes. We will give you the opportunity to learn some of that hard-earned wisdom in the beauty of the Manzano mountains in a 60-minute workshop. Tree suspension optional but not necessary. We will supply magical bags, river stones, and paint pens for you to draw your own runes as we show you each rune and talk about its historic and divination meaning. We will be focusing on the Elder Futhark. Sköl!
The Essence of the History of the Wild Hunt

So, what exactly is The Wild Hunt, you ask? Come find out. These rituals represent many traditions of paganism, have manifested the Hunt through many pantheons, and have improvised multiple variations of the theme. In this workshop we’ll discuss this history and also the reoccurring themes we find within: those of balance, sacrifice, the life cycle, personal and community virtues, gender empowerment, and the explorations of where our industriousness and inner wildness drops into harvest, instinct, and even madness, until it once again spirals into the quiet gratitude of the Dark Time. Where will we go from here? Perhaps another Wild Hunt? What Say Ye?
Magical Incense Making

This workshop will provide an overview and discussion of making loose incense for use in spellcasting, the preparation of charms or talismans, and for use in ritual. It will end with the creation of a magical house blessing incense that attendees may take home. Incense ingredients, herbs, and empty jars will be provided, as well as a recipe for a house blessing. Bring a mortar and pestle if possible. Donations to cover material costs are welcome.

Also, while it’s different than a loose, informal drum circle, there are commonalities that we can explore. Let’s get curious and share, and practice a few of the elements that we discuss.

Preparation Ritual: Re-Dedication of the Ancient Temples

This year for the first time, we will be offering a “preparation” ritual. Using an ancient Roman ritual format, do, dico, dedico (“I give, declare, dedicate”), we will rededicate temples around the world back to their original gods and goddesses, restoring Sacred Balance across the continents. A list of many such temples and their current names will be provided, but you may also bring the name of a temple you already know.

Basic Home Fermentation: Let Food Be Thy Medicine
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM @ East Pavilion w/Noelani
This workshop is an introduction to a variety of everyday foods made using lactic acid bacteria fermentation like miso, tempeh, kimchi, carbonated soda, fish sauce, koji (to make soju and sake), vegetables, etc. We will then go into depth on food safety, simple starter fermentation projects for your home kitchen, like vegetables, beans, ginger bugs for soda, pickles, etc. There will be samples to taste and a variety of resources that will enable you to explore at your leisure through this harvest season. There will be time at the end of this workshop for the attendees of last year’s vinegar workshop to reconvene and share tastes of your creations, and door prizes will be raffled at the end of the workshop.

Mead Making Basics (Age 21+)

Nothing brings people together like honey wine, and this workshop will teach the attendees not only how to make a batch, but we will provide hands-on experience as we start a batch of mead together. We gather to honor the ancient mead making traditions of our ancestors, who revered mead as the sacred nectar of the gods. As we weave together the threads of magic, nature, and community, we’ll delve into the basics of mead making and co-create a batch of this enchanted elixir.

Healing Division in the Pagan Community

This discussion group will explore how interpersonal conflict, factionalism, gossip, and misunderstandings can damage Pagan groups and the broader Pagan community. Participants will examine the roots of community division and learn a couple practical communication skills that support healthier relationships, mutual respect, and constructive dialogue.
Creating Sacred Structure in Times of Transition

This workshop explores how to create inner and outer structure during times of transition through ritual, boundary, and awareness. Drawing from Solomonic ceremonial traditions, we will learn how to: ground the body as a stable center create simple protective and intentional space, distinguish between inner and outer experience work with subtle energy without overwhelm. This class is perfect for beginners and well-versed folks alike, from any background or practice. It provides suggested structure for ritual, explanation on some of the themes, and practical exercises for peace and protection.

Join us in honoring the autumnal equinox and the end of the yearly cycle with a Druid ceremony. Druids name this equinox Alban Elfed, or Light of the Water. This ritual will explore the themes of harvest, balance, and preparing for the darker part of the year. We will work in tandem with water to give us inspiration, aid in our harvests, and prepare for transformations to come, while also celebrating what we have grown during the year.
